I am a legal permanent resident (immigrant) from Argentina. I consider myself a latin woman not hispanic. To me, hispanic means Mexican. I only assume that because I do not know of any country named "Hispania". So because I am from Argentina, I resent the hispanic reference when it comes to anyone non-mexican. I was born in Argentina which is mostly Italian, and my Father was 100% Greek. So I consider myself Greek-Argentine, not hispanic! There is nothing wrong with being Mexican, but I am not, I am Argentine. I have olive skin because of my olive skinned Father, not my white Mother. I am probably less olive toned because my Mother was Argentine-Italian. So does that mean anyone having olive type skin is hispanic?? No! I am from Argentina with Greek and Italian blood. That's it!
