History
Matthew Company was the original designer/owner/founders of Vans. Originally known as Van Doren Rubber Company, Vans was founded on October 28, 1966 in the city of Corona, California. The Vans team includes skaters such as Christian Hosoi and Tony Trujillo.
All Vans shoes were produced in the store and, decades later, American production of Vans shoes ended in July 2007. Vans began taking custom orders when people wanted different color schemes on their shoes.

Vans currently operates retail stores in Carnaby Street and White City in London as well as Leeds in the UK, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Antwerp, Barcelona, Berlin and Paris.
There are outlet stores in Cheshire Oaks, Bridgend, Bicester Village, Portsmouth, Banbridge, La Vallée Village, La Roca Village, Las Rozas Village, Roermond, Parndorf and Gold Coast, Australia.
