Under are a San Francisco based band who consist of singer Jen Triano and keyboard player/ producer Eamonn Flynn. Their music has been classified as 'pop noir' and downtempo - often vague, melancholic lyrics with slower tempos and a blend of electronic and acoustic instruments.

Their first release was a four song EP in 2006.

In May 2009 they released their debut full length album 'More Pleasant Grey'.

They have had music placed in TV shows, including 'Ugly Betty' and 'Moonlight' and included on 'Minus 1' a compilation album by San Francisco based radio show 'Below Zero'. They have collaborated with remixers Morgan Page (the Morgan Page remix of their song 'Under' appears on Page's Nettwerk album 'Elevate') and Damien S. Though the band consists of two people they have used many other musicians on their recordings, most notably ex-Kronos Quartet cellist Joan Jeanrenaud and Canadian electronic musician Milosh.

History Jen Triano and Eamonn flynn began playing together in 2006. They recorded their first 4 song EP with Paul Scriver, best known for his production work with the Ubiquity label. Their first live show was opening for Bitter:Sweet. Their song 'Under' was remixed by Morgan Page and included on his Nettwerk release 'Elevate'. Below Zero the Energy FM downtempo show featured Under on their compilation 'Minus 1'. They music was featured on the TV shows 'Ugly Betty' and 'Moonlight'. 1n 2009 they released their first self-produced full length album 'More Pleasant Grey'. Besides Flynn and Triano, musicians featured on 'More Pleasant Grey' are Milosh, Joan Jeanrenaud, Ronnie Smith, Stephen Smith, Ricky Carter, Dave Shul, Steve Adams, Paul Scriver, Daniel Berkman and Darryl C Anders.
