Red Roses (Welsh: Rhos Goch, "red roses") is a village in Wales, United Kingdom. Situated in South Western Carmarthenshire, bordering with Pembrokeshire, it forms part of the Eglwyscummin Community area with Ciffig and Marros which in turn forms part of the Laugharne Township ward. The village is situated around the main route to South Pembrokeshire, the A477, and the B4314 which is one of the main routes to the once popular holiday resort of Pendine. Surrounded by farming land, the village is near to a number of holiday destinations and has two caravan parks and a public house. The local young farmers group were instrumental in creating a memorial garden resighting the memorial stone that lay very close to the main trunk road. A new community centre now occupies the site where an old Methodist Chapel was laid abandoned for sometime. The crossroads in the village was once a major accident black spot but there have been few since a 40mph speed limit and an anti skid road surface were added. The building of a by-pass diverting the A477 around the Village, previously earmarked over many years, is currently set to start in 2012.
