Here is what users have to say about Midwife

Midwifery is an allied health care profession in which providers give prenatal care to expecting mothers, attend the birth of the infant, and provide postpartum care to the mother and her infant. A practitioner of midwifery is known as a midwife, a term used in reference to both women and men. (The etymology of midwife is Middle English mid = with and Old English wif = woman). In the United States, nurse-midwives (see below) are advance practice nurses (nurse practitioners]). In addition to giving care to women in connection with pregnancy and birth, they also provide primary care to women, well-woman care (gynecological annual exams), family planning, and menopause care.
