Good Technology is a company selling Push e-mail products for mobile phone. The company started out building an MP3 attachment to the Handspring Visor under the brand of SpringThings. It later offered its own device to provide wireless email access to corporate users. Today, the company markets Good Mobile Messaging (formerly known as GoodLink) software and service for synchronizing corporate email on a variety of devices, as well as a variety of other products targeted at the mobile enterprise worker. Its primary competitor is Research in Motion's BlackBerry product. In November 10th, 2006, Motorola acquired the then privately held company. 1
Good Mobile Messaging (formerly GoodLink)
The current version of Good Mobile Messaging is 5.0. Good Mobile Messaging (formerly GoodLink) is a software package that can be installed on many different mobile devices, such as the Motorola Q and Palm Treo 750. It allows for near instant delivery of e-mail messages and synchronizes calendar and tasks from Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange as well as Lotus Notes/Domino mailboxes. Corporate environments can use the Goodlink Management Console to centrally manage device security policies and deploy software automatically to devices.
Currently, the Good client runs on three mobile operating systems: the Microsoft Windows Mobile, Palm OS, and Symbian.
Good Mobile Intranet (formerly GoodAccess)
The Good Mobile Intranet (GMI) is an application that is installed as part of the Good Mobile Messaging(GMM) Software suite. It allows access to Intranet web content, if Good Mobile Intranet server is installed on the IT side. Both GMM and GMI can be managed through Good Management Console. Currently GMI is supported only on Windows Mobile and Palm OS platforms.
