Here is what users have to say about RSS

What is RSS?

RSS is a method for delivering Internet content to subscribers in a program called a reader (like Google reader).

RSS is an acronym, but there is disagreement as to exactly what it stands for. Some sources say it stands for Really Simple Syndication. Others say it stands for Rich Site Summary.

RSS allows subscribers to monitor a large number of websites, blogs and news sources easily by opening them all in a single program. When opened, an RSS reader will show a user a list of new content at sites the user has subscribed to. The alternative, visiting dozens (or hundreds) of indiviual sites regularly to determine whether there is any new content, would be very time consuming.

The availability of RSS at a blog or website is usually signalled with the orange and white RSS image shows above.

Individual bloggers can make RSS available easily and for free with services like Feedburner.
