Theodore Sharp "Ted" Ligety (born August 31, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah) is an alpine ski racer with the U.S. Ski Team. He was the 2006 Olympic gold medalist in combined and the 2008 World Cup champion in giant slalom. Currently, he has four World Cup victories (all in giant slalom), 15 podiums, and 48 top ten finishes.
